BIOGRAPHY
I have spent the last 25 years painting in a range of mediums, experimenting with different styles and have now developed a technique which allows me to capture a realistic, yet creative depiction of my subject, reflecting its true natural beauty using dynamic, intense colour - vividly bringing to life - still life.
My aim and challenge in painting a piece of artwork is to portray it's beauty by magnifying it's distinctive features thereby producing a painting which creates an atmosphere that will light up any room and create a real focal point for all to enjoy.
My works span a variety of subjects - from body images - wildlife - oceans - still life and of course my favourite - flowers. Just recently I have been exploring the boundaries between reality and abstract using texture in my paintings. I have been painting professionally for 8 years on a full-time basis and also teaching two classes per week. I have won two awards - “Rising Star” and “Overall Best Award” – Just Paint Decorative Art Studio.
I sell my work through selected galleries and restaurants in and around Brisbane and the Gold Coast. I have also been successful in selling my artwork through my website – Worldwide. From England to New Zealand, USA and Switzerland just to name a few countries. I now offer my artwork worldwide direct from my Gold Coast Studio.
My time is divided between undertaking commission work, producing original paintings and also teaching. My paintings are already in many private collections throughout Australia, New Zealand and Overseas.
I have completed a certificate III in a Fine Arts Degree at the Arts Academy.
